Food Drive May 2014

Helping out with the annual food drive The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does. The wards on the south end of Red Deer collect food with the food bank.

Monday and Tuesday we drop the bags off at the homes in our route.

Saturday morning we drive around and pick up those bags.

The food bank delivers a semi trailer at the church. We fill it up on Saturday as we collect the bags.

Tim Horton's Camp Day

I had the opportunity to work behind the counter at Tim Horton's [down town location] for their Camp Day.

They asked for volunteers to help because they were expecting so many more customers to come in.
Their employees are so on top of everything they really didn't need my help but it sure was fun.

Their employees were so very nice.

Red Deer Advocate on Trustee Forum

Red Deer Advocate article on the Trustee Forum on Tuesday evening.

http://www.reddeeradvocate.com/news/Parent_involvement_tops_at_forum_227015701.html

I didn't read my speeches or answers.

I was quoted by other Trustees during the evening. Kurt referred to a teacher using Twitter to find someone to come to instruct her. I went to the class to tell them what a Trustee does. Lots of fun.
